Atomic Red: These beautiful lycopene-rich red carrots turn a darker shade of red, and develop an even better taste when cooked. Matures in about 70 days and produces a 14-18” tall with the red carrots themselves growing 9” long.

Bambino Orange: This delicious baby carrot is a smooth dark orange, getting its color from its concentration of beta-carotene. Great cooked or raw! Matures in about 60 days and produces a 4-6” Orange carrot. Best taste if harvested around 4” long.

Cosmic Purple: These beautiful carrots have a vibrant violet skin due to their concentration of anthocyanin, with orange underneath. Not your average carrot flavor, with a sweetness that is followed by a spicy aftertaste. You must try these carrots! Best if served raw, as they lose a little color when cooked. Matures in 65 days, but can harvested earlier as smaller carrots are sweeter. Produces a 6-12” tall with the purple carrots themselves growing 7” long.

Lunar White: These strikingly white carrots have less carotene than their more colorful cousins, along with a slightly milder flavor. Matures in about 65 days and produces a 14-18” tall with the white carrots themselves growing 8” long.

Solar Yellow: These bright yellow carrots get their color from a high concentration of lutein. Sweet, crisp, and juicy, these carrots are a perfect addition to any meal. Matures in about 70 days and produces a 14-18” tall with the yellow carrots themselves growing 6” long.

• Carrots are a common in home gardens, but this mix of 5 different colors is something special! This mix contains Atomic Red, Bambino Orange, Solar Yellow, Lunar White, and Cosmic Purple carrots!.
• Preparation of soil is very important for carrots, as debris, and even just heavy soil, can hinder growth and cause oddly shaped carrots. Prepare soil when it reaches about 40 degrees. Provide well-drained and deeply-worked loose soil at the very least as deeply as you expect your carrots to grow (9” is the longest for Atomic Red in this mix)..
• After your soil is prepped, create raised mounds in full-sun and 3 per just below soil surface about 4” apart. Extra seedlings can be moved to prevent crowding once they grow about 2” tall. Germination can take up to 3 weeks, so please give your the attention they need during this time. Be very careful to ensure moist soil until germination as hardened soil can prevent from germinating.
