SunSun has selected the linear water supply in the housing of the CUV-100 series. The water stream is passed directly through the UVC lamp without any rotation.

Due to the UVC radiation, these PL-L lamps keep harmful algae, bacteria, disease, and algae buildup under control.

The UVC pond clarifier ensures that there (usually) is clear pond water within 14 days, as long as you combine the UVC pond clarifier with a biological pond filter. UVC pond clarifiers irradiate the pond water with UV-C radiation in a flow reactor. UVC pond clarifiers change the tertiary and quaternary structures of the algal proteins (algae proteins) by their UV radiation. This means that they kill the algae. The algae clumps into a larger particles and can be easily removed over the mechanical pond filtration in pond filters from the water circulation.

The life of UVC bulb is between 7,000 and 10,000 hours of operation. We therefore recommend use when the annual season starts, when the water temperature in the pond rises, to change the UVC unit’s lamp and to clean the quartz glass of the UV lamp.

Functionality:
The water circulates through the two openings of the UVC disinfection, thereby reducing all impurities, such as suspended algae, pathogens, bacteria or parasites. The longer this contact is maintained and the higher the UVC power (watts) is, the greater effect is achieved.
