Clever, captivating and cool, this new Fox adventure is as
fun and challenging as the first two in the series. In a total
James Bond spoof, our detective hero must once again "outfox" the
villain to save the universe from disaster. This time, the evil
Poodles Galore, Queen of Cosmetics, has blasted an enormous
hairspray space station into orbit. Its constant blast of aerosol
threatens to deplete the Earth's ozone layer, forcing the world
to buy Poodles' super sunscreen, the only one strong enough to
block the ravaging sun! Fortunately, Fox has an arsenal of
ultra-slick gadgets at his disposal. There's a "glow in the
dark" Mint that will light up dark rooms, and a
well-disguised cinnamon roll called the Sticky Stun Bun will
leave enemies dazed and confused for weeks. Then, there's the
Grappling Granny Doll. When Fox gives her a squeeze, her
false teeth shoot out of her mouth and act as a grappling hook,
allowing our hero to scale tall buildings. Yes, Fox is well
equipped! So what do kids do in this crazy caper? Plenty. They'll
move Fox through the many scenes, locating secret
passageways, breaking codes and solving puzzles along the way.
They'll need all their wits and logic, plus a sharp memory to
complete all the tasks ahead. Good listening comes in handy, too,
as clues are dropped right and left. Graphics, music and use of
humor are all outstanding, making for a very engaging experience.
Our testers loved the game and spent hours with it. The younger
ones needed lots of help, though-- this program really is best
for kids aged 8 and up. -- From Children's Software Revue® --
