I do like how its not limited to a certain number of vins too!

Works really well with VAG cars for doing long coding and adaptions, but also works fine with other OBD vehicles using their other app. I've found I have to have a good Internet connection for it to work properly or connect to the vehicle.

Waste of time, and I wouldn't recommend. Mine was faulty out the box, contacted them on their chat (Friday @ 1400 GMT) and a 2 day response time was estimated to actual support after chatting to their bot, although they did get in contact the next morning(after the job on the car was done). After installing the apps multiple times, creating an account and fault finding it was deemed the unit itself was faulty so sent back to amazon. OBDEleven offered 10% discount on my next purchase via their store as a good will gesture, although they currently have a 25% discount offer - luckily I didn't take the bait :) When I highlight the difference, they just said good will and discounts are not the same thing - so that cleared things up nicely. After wasting time on the device, and getting a "good" will gesture, my good will has run out for them. Price of hardware + subscriptions + credits means you will pay upfront, then find out not everything is available unless you send them more cash. All I wanted was to put my rear brakes in the service position, discovered all I needed to do was put 12v on the motor terminals to wind the calliper back. I will be buying an alternative, but not with pay walls and credits every time I want to use it. Google "Reddit OBDEleven Credits" and educate yourself before purchasing.

does everything you would want VCDS for, adaptations, long coding, DTCs and so simple to use. Running on an android device but this gen2 version does run on iOS but with limited functionality. For all the info you need on the iOS version head over to the OBDeleven website where it will tell you what functions are available on iOS. Its defo with the pro version. And best of all it updates as its linked to your mobile device. This means as newer cars are released, your device updates for the newer vehicles making it future proof!! I brought this device to code in the trailer electrics module and long code additional module associated with the trailer electrics, all from my phone. Best bit of kit for VAG vehicles

Bought this to code a new battery to a Vw golf mk 7.5. Unlike the carista, this actually worked. It’s not cheap but it works, seemingly a very high bar these days. The pro came with a year’s subscription so at least if anything goes wrong I can diagnose it. It also identified more error codes than the carista.

Quite expensive for what you get, not as good as I thought it would be, but they do the job to appoint

This is vastly superior to a OBD2 connector I had purchased 10 years ago.(The previous one would not work on VAG cars post 2018 even though I bought the software recently). As well as being able to fault diagnose, it is possible to carry out routine servicing procedures such as priming the fuel filter, winding back the electronic brakes when changing rear pads,etc. It is also possible to tweak lights , wiper's and dash etc. I am also looking forward to disabling the auto stop/start permanently. The manufacturers are very responsive to questions.

Finding a device that would talk to my beetle was a bonus. This is simple to use and got me running.

Herramienta OBD imprescindible para VAG. La app funciona perfectamente vía Bluetooth. Puedes hacer diagnósticos completos, leer códigos de error y hacer codificaciones. Para Audi, VW, Seat y Skoda es perfecta. Fácil de usar. Los créditos para funciones avanzadas son accesibles. Mucho más barato que ir al taller. Totalmente recomendable para entusiastas del automovil.

Je ne comprends pas les avis négatifs / mitigés sur cette application / dongle. Il permet d’accéder à tous les calculateurs et de (re)paramétrer une quantité affolante de choses. Il ne faut cependant pas y aller à l’aveugle pour ne pas faire de bêtises; ça n’est clairement pas destiné au conducteur lambda. Oui, tout est en anglais, mais c’est quand même le standard dans ce genre de domaine. Oui, il y a des Apps payantes, car cela facilite la configuration pour les néophytes mais tout est faisable gratuitement via Long Coding et Adaptations. Il faut, c’est sur, passer un peu de temps sur les forums pour y arriver. Ça peut prendre un peu de temps, et le temps, c’est de l’argent… Dongle Pro NextGen acheté en 2024; le modèle économique est très clair. Une immense partie est gratuite / incluse dans le prix du Dongle ; seules les Apps sont payantes mais ça, on le sait avant d’acheter. Bref, grâce à ce Dongle, j’ai pu activer le Carplay Wireless, le Hill Descent Control, Le Maneuvering Assist, le Park Assist, paramétrer la sensibilité et activation du Lane Assist, et aussi le serrage auto du frein de parking électrique ! Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas mettre 6 étoiles…
